With the first-ever WildEarth Expedition behind us and a roaring success, it is time to start preparing for future expeditions to make sure many other wildlife enthusiasts can also enjoy this unique safariLIVE experience.
If you are not sure what a ‘WildEarth Expedition’ is: It is a unique opportunity for our viewers to visit Djuma (other locations might be added in future) as a guest of safariLIVE. In addition to a stellar safari experience, you will get to meet some of the presenters and crew, as well as some of your favourite animal characters. For more detailed info about what an Expedition could look like, have a look at member4.mystagingwebsite.com/expeditions/ or watch this video.
We are, of course, aware that the cost of such an Expedition is not trivial and might seem out of reach for many, at least without saving up for it. Therefore, to make it possible for more of our dedicated viewers to join a future Expeditions, we are trying to find ways in which we could help.
Before we open up bookings for the next expedition (soon…), we would like to get your feedback and see what might be possible. And, also, to get a better feel for how many of you might want to come to Africa if financial challenges could be resolved in some way, so we can start making plans further into the future.
Help us with this by completing a short survey here.
As a ‘Thank you!’ for completing the survey (which will take less than 5 minutes), we want to invite you to join an exclusive online ‘town hall’ session with Graham Wallington. He will talk about WildEarth, the Expeditions, future plans, and much more, he will also answer questions from the audience. Should you want to participate in this, please enter your email address on the last part of the survey so we can let you know when this will happen and how to access this live event.
The survey closes at 22:00 ET on Monday, March 4th, so don’t delay. We look forward to your feedback!
The week at Dhuma with wild earth an Safari Live was the most fantastic and magical trip of my life.I am very grateful I got to share this with my daughter Kristen. The other safarians were so friendly and interesting people. The staff was great.Meeting all the safarilive personalities was very cool.
Having Mr James Hendry Sing for us around a blazing fire was extraordinary.Seeing all the animals great and small was the highlight of each day. Many thanks to each one of you at Safari live, wild earth and Dhuma.Special thanks to Steff for going out of your way to see that everything went as smoothly as possible. And for helping an old lady get a leg up everyday.Love you all
I have been watching nearly since the beginning. I have a great love for animals and my dream is Africa and rhinos. I deal with excruciating pain and wanted to study &/or understand how animals pretty much ignore theirs. Unless I win the lottery or some angel sends me, my fixed government income would never allow me to come for such a wonderful experience. I would love to see a video/movie though on everyone experiences to feel like I experienced it some. I am appreciative that you are offering this for your “fans” and am extremely happy for everyone who gets to experience it. Thank you for ALL you do for us!!!
Thanks so very much i have learn so much about Animals truly love it you guys rock :) thanks so very much and keep up the awesome work you do for all of us… Truly a Blessing…
Jodie and I absolutely loved our time at Djuma with Wild Earth. Even though a smaller group would be ideal, I realize that you need to make this experience available to as many as possible. What made this experience so amazing was the interaction between Wild Earth/Safari Live and all of us 19 SL geeks. You made this experience so personal to each one of us. We can thank Stef especially for that. I’ve already said I want to be on the first Wild Earth Expedition to the Mara. There are no words to adequately describe the week we had.
I think you did a fantastic job on your expedition based on the video. Personally, I would prefer a smaller group size so everyone has the chance to have a ” window” seat. I don’t go with big groups because as a single person, I’d always get last choice of seat. I have that problem even with small groups but it doesn’t really matter if I get a decent seat. More people have a bigger chance of personality conflicts. That would be my only suggestion. Otherwise, the drives, bushwalk, meeting everyone and seeing behind the scenes can’t be outdone from what you do already. I know my experience at djuma was the absolute best and will never be forgotten. Thank you for making these expeditions available for all.
Barbara Russell – As another solo traveler, I appreciate your comments.
