As it stands today, with 8 days left of the campaign we have already reached well over three times our initial target amount. This is beyond any of our thoughts and dreams which I am sure a lot of you agree. We are all truly blessed to have such a loyal and passionate community that WE can call family.
Our message to you today is that all of you are critical in keeping WildEarth going. Whether you contributed $200 or $1 or sent out a tweet or a suggestion, nobody is more valuable than anyone else.
WE understand that many people cannot afford to contribute money and have instead used their valuable time by sending emails and tweets to people and companies who possibly can fund the ongoing broadcasts from WildEarth. This is wonderful, we love it when everybody helps in whatever way they can.
The WildEarth Club was set up to help us develop this new model but it does not exclude anyone from being involved in making suggestions and giving us feedback and, of course, from watching the content. The money coming in from the Founder Members helps in giving us the time to keep our content on-air whilst we transition to a more viable concept.
WE are so happy that so many of you have rallied together to help in such a variety of different ways and hopefully together with new ideas, contacts and extra money we can create a sustainable operation for the future.
I am so pleased that l was able to make my small contribution on time. It is a thrill to watch SafariLive everyday and see the wonderment of Africa. I have not been able to fulfill my childhood dream of travels, but l feel now that l have seen part of Africa thanks to SafariLive & James, Tristan, Steve, Lauren, Jamie & Trishala & all of their extremely talented cameramen, Jeandre, Seb, & apologies for the names l am missing here. I have seen animals in zoos & while some may be given acres to graze, there is no place like your real home. What privilege to live in a day &age where l can see them, LIVE, in their own home– THANK 💖 YOU SO MUCH SAFARILIVE!!! I only found out about this early summer this year, but it’s how l start every morning now. I also recognize the privilege & honour to live on a planet so full of amazing animals, domestic & wild, 2 ozs or 2 tons, every one of them matters, they all count. There are so many ways we can help animals be it in our community or far away, and to make a difference to even just one feels so good you can’t stop! Much like morning hot chocolate with SafariLive! I have a question about paying for the Founder Member thru PayPal, I have my receipt of the $200 from PayPal but it doesn’t show on the IndieGoGo site that I am a partipant. I basically want to make sure that my donation and that of others who used PayPal are being counted in the amazing totals.
I am so happy to be able to give back to WE for all the hours of entertainment and education you have given me in the past 11 years. I hope to continue watching for years to come. I would have left this comment on the IndieGoGo page but it won’t let me because it doesn’t recognize that I have already donated. Thanks!
That was such a lovely update . Firstly I am utterly delighted that WE have managed to fight back the money gremlin for the moment , it was the best money I’ve spent for a long time to become a founder member.
What I loved was the feeling you’ve given to all those that couldn’t afford to give money, that time and sharing etc were also highly priced gifts .
For some the feeling of others giving makes them feel useless and this update was I’m sure really appreciated by many
.
The last two days have seen the most wonderful sightings and if these cannot lure new members , then I’m not sure what will.!
I continue to watch back the drives I miss, but again thank you all at WE/SL for helping me and others through pain. It is the most awesome distraction.
