Twitch “Let’s chat” format – December 17th and 18th, 2019
On Tuesday, December 17th and Wednesday, December 18th we did two three-hour experimental broadcast on the twitch.tv platform. The goal of these was to see how a format with hosts and experts in a studio environment discussing the LIVE safari feeds as well as non-live sightings would work. The tone and pace of these broadcasts were tailored to the younger, mostly male, gamer audience that form the bulk of Twitch users, and thus very different from our regular safaris. This type of broadcast is not meant to replace regular safaris but rather as an experiment to see if it could work as an additional format.
We did get some valuable feedback through the chat during the shows, but if you watched the shows, then it would be great if you could also let us know your thoughts by completing a quick survey that can be accessed from the link next to the shows a bit lower on this page.
Time-shifting of sightings – December 12th, 2019
On Thursday, December 12th we did a first round of tests to see how we can make time-shifted sightings work to still create a connection with nature for our viewers. A lot more work is required to get these running smoothly and make them as compelling as possible but it seems they were generally well-received by you.
We would like to get more detailed feedback on each of the clips so that we can make adjustments where needed before the next round of tests with this concept in January.
Therefore we would like to ask you to help us by filling out one or more of these surveys based on which of the four experiences you’ve watched. The recording is included with each survey form in case you would need to refresh your memory.
Thank you very much!
