The new eaglet was stuck on it's back with feet in the air. It couldn't turn over but is still being fed by parent.

This is the first glimpse in the daylight of the new eaglet and it's first feeding. One more egg to go!

Dad flies in with a herring gull and starts to de-feather the bird for dinner. Feathers flying everywhere. At least they can be recycled to line the nest...lol

Here you can see the broken egg. The eagle seems disturbed and proceeds to consume the insides of the egg. Hopefully the other two will be viable and hatch.

When the eagle gets up you can see that one of the eggs is stuck to it's brood patch. The egg falls off to the side of the nest when the eagle takes off. When it comes back , it rolls the egg underneath with the other two. This must be the egg which ends up broken later in the day. Now this pair only have two eggs which they are incubating. Hopefully these two eggs will go on to hatch.

The third egg has hatched. Here you can see mom rising a little when sitting on egg and eaglets. She looks down and she knows that her new baby is on it's way. She gets up and you can see the new eaglet trying to squirm out of it's shell. She distracts the other two by feeding them so that the little one can make it's way into the world. Amazing!

Another beautiful sunset at the nest. This area is just gorgeous. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing and at night you can see the lights twinkling along the shore across the bay.

Last year at this nest was not good, but this year looks very promising. This pair have 3 eggs that they are incubating and we hope to have all three eggs hatch and survive.

This dad sheltered his mate and their babies during a cold, windy, rainy night in the nest. He stayed huddled over them, both soaking wet, for a good while with the family before taking off. This is really true dedication. It was incredible!!!

Early morning and time for a shift change at the beautiful White Rock nest. These two now have 3 eggs that they are incubating. So exciting for this nest since last year was so sad with no incubating of egg. They are a young couple and we hope that this year will produce 3 healthy eaglets!

A red tail? makes two close swoops toward the nest but to no avail. The eagle defended it's nest and never even got up from the eggs, protecting them. When she finally does get up to roll the eggs she realizes that the predator is still around so she quickly spreads her wings a bit to cover the eggs. Then towards the end of the video you can see the invader flying around the nest, but I myself am not sure that it is a hawk. It looks as though it may be a juvenile eagle. If anyone can confirm what the invader was, it would be appreciated.
